At Havanna Wellness we believe wellness involves self-care practices that support both physical, emotional and spiritual health. 

Self-care has become a real buzz word in the wellness world and before we suggest practices to support your health at home, we want to make it abundantly clear that self-care is not an indulgent luxury. It is a necessary step towards ensuring you are able to be well both in body and mind so you can go about your day and not pour from an empty cup. Filling up your cup doesn’t have to consume enormous amounts of time, it just has to be prioritised as something of importance and value. You are worth it. Treat yourself with love and respect and make daily self care a non-negotiable. We assure you will reap the well-being rewards.

We encourage you to check in with yourself and ask your body for guidance around what it needs physically, emotionally or spiritually.

Below are some of my our favourite ways to take time out and give ourselves the necessary nourishment our bodies need:

  1. Epsom salt bath with essential oils

  2. Read a book with a cup of tea

  3. Vedic meditation

  4. Journaling feelings

  5. Podcast and a walk outside

  6. Running

  7. Sitting with feet in the grass or sand

  8. Talking to someone you love

  9. Sauna 

  10. Cold water immersion

  11. Surfing

  12. Hike in nature

  13. Get out in the garden

  14. Sleep in

  15. Light a candle

  16. Write a gratitude list

  17. Take a bath

  18. Watch the sunrise or sunset 

  19. Make a nourishing smoothie or meal

  20. Try a new hobby

  21. Have a massage

  22. Unplug from social media and devices
